To say the least I spent a lot of time on this new plenum with sanding, cleaning, prepping and painting but I think the results speak for themself

Before, only thing done at this point was the install of the painted coil packs:

Something's missing in this picture

Old and new together, 70MM TB already mounted on new plenum at this point

New plenum installed

Final install with matching J-intake

Only thing left to do is put on the covers over the exposed bolt heads going down the center of the plenum

For the whole 1 mile test drive it runs good  I know you can barely see it on the back of the motor but I felt the need to paint that also, what a pain to sand/prep

I cleaned the hell out of the lower and obviously the upper plenums too so that can only help the way it's running as well

I'll let you know an update after I have had it on the highway

Joe it looks great!

I'm in the middle of cleaning and prepping my original plenum for it's paint job.

I see the flames might become a common element...but a different color scheme.

Again that job looks fantastic!!

Thanks everyone for the compliments

Actually this wasn't my first flame design, I had originally done a different pattern with a lot more flames covering the entire top and it was way too much for me so I stripped it down and started over again

Put on the chrome bolt head caps last night, couldn't stand looking at those ugly bolt heads anymore

Great job! Understated eliegance. On the 11th pic is looks like blue paint is in the circle of the "6" or pic reflection, causing the "6" not to stand out. Can't wait to see more.

I shot all the pics in 7.1MP but then resized them to 640x480 max using the only tool I had at work MS photo editor

Here's a close up pic to give you guys an idea of the metallic paint and the cut between the colors

Not as much as you woudl think. The shaving of the center portion was done with a belt sander then finished by hand, after that it was just a lot of masking and painting.

Man, looking at these pics kind of makes me miss the M. It had a lot of little annoyances but was still a great car.
