One of the Club's historic first car meets took place on August 17-19, 2001, in the Monterey, CA area. The meet was attended by six members (plus wives and other family members): Roger Waters (President) and Paulette Parong-Waters (Treasurer) from Washington, Jeff and Mindy Goldman from California, Brent Johnson (Board Member) from Colorado, Michael Sylvia (and his dad, Tony, mother, Betty, and sister, Kathleen) from Arizona, and Jim and Mary Thompson from California.
Though the turnout was smaller than expected, everyone had a great time, getting together for several meals, to check out each others' M's, and for the Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races at Laguna-Seca Raceway. These races were sponsored by Daimler-Chrysler, so this was an appropriate spot for one of the Club's first events! Here are some photos:
