Our
Club, along with
DodgeIntrepid.net members attended the All Chrysler Nationals Car
Show in Carlisle, PA on July 11-13th. 16 300Ms and 10 Intrepids
showed their cars on the fun field.
Several 300Ms and Intrepids raced at South Mountain Dragway on
Friday night, where
Don Scruggs took home the big trophy for winning 6 rounds of
bracket racing on the 1/8 mile.
We
dynoed two 300Ms and got some good numbers on typical mods.
300Ms
swept the public fun field judging for our 1996-current front
wheel drive class (our condolences to our Intrepid friends).
George Deane took 1st place with Mzilla, while
Keith Jarvis took 2nd place with his 2002 Silver Special, and
Fernando Mendes took 3rd place.

A
Saturday evening social consisted of Pizza, snacks, and drinks in
a banquet room at our hotel. Club logoed merchandise was
raffled off. Everyone went home with something. Many
kind words spoken and many friendships were forged.
My
thanks goes out to all who attended and for everyone's
contribution to the picnic and fun. Special thanks to Chuck
Carleton for being my support and part-time caddy. Thanks to
Lisha Wyche and Judy Keener for helping with the raffles.
Thanks to Dan Keener for being the chef for our picnic and for Don
Scruggs for bringing the grill. Thanks to John and Joyce
Kraemer for fresh chips from Grandma Utz in nearby Hanover, PA and
fresh Strawberry Wheat Microbrew from Lancaster, PA. If I
missed someone, thanks again.
Thanks
again to Bruce Petty and Rob Spreitzer for organizing the Intrepid
awards and Bruce for having the guys and gal stay at his home for
party and fun.
Although George got plenty of awards, he should also get the
trooper award for busting hump to get Mzilla on the road and to
the show. Look what he almost missed. Good Luck at the
Mopar Nationals in August.
We
will be back next year. It's awesome. If you are reading
this you should attend next year. Some of us may have new
300Cs to show off too, I just might.
