What a great day in Hyattsville at
the meet.
We had a blast. We had 10 300Ms and 2 Dodge Intrepids show up for our meet. Dave (2KW4U) was MIA and Crombie made it halfway before mechanical problems forced him to the pits. DarCars Chrysler Dodge Jeep gave us little PT Cruiser model cars to give out to everyone and Bodymaster Auto Supply donated a case of oranges to the meet. We all met on the top level of the PG Plaza Metro station parking garage and swapped stories, took pictures and ragged on Crombie since at that time he was just a no show. Pete Veiga drove the longest distance at about 200 miles and yours truly drove the shortest at about a 1/4 mile. We went to the DC Auto show which was a little disappointing this year in the new convention center. Not nearly as good as the last few years. Dinner at the Outback was a little cramped but the food was fantastic. Next time though we need to go somewhere that does separate checks. I have some pictures loaded up at my fotki site I hope everyone that came had a great day Don Scruggs #14
Member Ken Eyler (Carfan77) reminded me of one of the best parts of the whole event. We were all parked together at the Outback Steakhouse and some teens walked by. They said this to us:
"Dees caars all yours? Maaan, y'aall guys got some tight rides"
Truly a highlight of the event. Robert Powell #33
