This
page has had some nice additions made to it, courtesy of George
Deane, the Wall Stadium Speedway
Chrysler 300m Enthusiasts Club Rendezvous 2001 Event Co-ordinator.
Quite a mouthful, wouldn't you say? But then, he was the right person
for the task set before him; along with his lovely wife Jackie.
From our East Coast attendee's, a heartfelt thanks for all the work you
put into our event.
George supplied me with the scans of some of the photos he took at the
Event. These images will hopefully give you an idea of what a great time
we all had. Shown in the images on the following pages are the winners
of the plaques awarded at our Club's first annual event. Also present
in the pictures are Vincent Morrison's
great family and lovely wife Pat, who graciously accepted Vincent's plaque
as he was, err..ah indisposed at the moment he won!.
You can also see Brian Rose, Tony
Pereira's best friend who made the trip with him from Connecticut.
Over Robert Powell's shoulder is Donald
Scruggs, too!
What you can't see in the pictures was the camraderie that I believe we
all felt not only as Club members or 300m owners, but as friends who until
September 1st had only 'talked' to each other in the edmunds.com forum
or in the club's chatroom.. I was honored and privileged to be a part
of that glorious day in September; and I look forward to next year's Rendezvous
2002!
