Yet another issue. they keep popping every months. little things. Now I got the Rb1 disc error in my other car. Even as I removed the disc. The error comes up after about 15 secs and after that I am stuck with the radio channel it was set too while displaying the error on screen.

After reading much on the RB1, it seems they are fairly unreliable. Then they seem to have compatibility issues with some Nav discs, etc... The nav is very outdated too.

I removed the cover and losened the dvd but the connector seems to be glued on.
So I may be looking for another Rb1.disc i have is 033AE
Rb1 part is P5603869AI year 2006

If anyone has got an Rb1 working I may buy it. If not I revert to the more reliable 6 CD setup and radio. I never use the Nav, Phone is much better and faster.

Disc error repair procedure involves cleaning the laser.

Sound quality is better than most of not all radio heads.
Not familiar with unreliability other than outdated disc and laser cleaning.

Well I looked where the lense cleaning should be done but I cant find anything I can see. How does this procedure work? Someone said to blow air in the unit but is there something more direct I can try?
