If you're reading this.....please sit down. Take a deep breath. And slowly proceed.......IT'S GOING TO OK!!!!

I've just heard from the Fire House Restaurant.......and........in May they changed their menu which no longer includes Duck Cakes.

Moment of silence please.

I'm so sorry about this and they will be dearly missed in my belly as well!!!!!!

Anyway, here's a link to the menu of you want to see how it's changed:

These are duck cakes from the Firehouse.

They are made with slow roasted duck, shredded, seasoned, then formed into a "cake" and served with a sweet "sauce."

...and I will miss them terribly.

Actually, I tried them for the first time last year with Barb. We both said "Meh, they're ok but not something I'd order again".

Envision a crabcake but made out of sloe roasted duck!

My first year, Derek (a chef!) recommended them and I figured if he raved about them, they were a must. My tastebuds loved them and will miss them for sure!

Well, maybe if you ask them nicely and put in a request to make them for the group, they will accommodate you. Then you could tell them how many to make after polling the members.

Doesn't hurt to ask!
