Bob and I would love to join you all in Myrtle Beach, however we are booked for our week on Grand Cayman the same time. Grand Cayman just reopened after a 2 year Covid shut down. Mixed emotions. We will definitely be at Carlyle in 2023!

Thankfully I remembered to print out the registration form at work today. Planning to write the check and mail by the weekend.

With my move, work trips, and better half-mandated events, this is going to be tough for me, but I’m going to try to make an appearance. If I can get a reasonable flight, I’ll fly into MYR, stay with my parents for a week, and borrow my dad’s Scat Pack.

Just a little note for the meet......
Full on sun and fun with a minor note. BBQ at the Day's Inn and other activities will go on...
However I may be using a walker to get around.
Orthoscopic Knee Surgery for my left knee scheduled for 10/5 AM. Doc said he would have me out in time for a late breakfast. So I'm guessing one nights sleep and I'll be ready to go.
FIREM will be prepped and ready in advance and someone may have to step up and be grill master but it is what it is.

There will be a few hands on deck to help!

My special skill is setting fire to water... so maybe don't entrust the grill to me.

I suppose it's finally a good thing FIREM couldn't be a stickshift. Anything you need help with for setup let us know, better to have you sit in a chair than run around and around the car days after knee surgery! Hope the recovery is quick, painless, and uncomplicated.

Clean up the “macerated meniscus “ smooth up the arthritic mass and hope for the best. Doc is a sports guy and says it will be a “solid double” and should give me a few years pain free. Delaying the inevitable replacement ball joint. LOL

Goodness!! Quite a maintenance list there. Prayers for an easy surgery and speedy recovery!! You'll get lots of time with your favs - Bar Rescue and Judge Judy! lol!!

Time is flying and this will be here before we know it!! Just posted about meeting at 7:15am on Thursday to pull in together. Until we see what it’s going to be like we’ll make some guesses.
Other plans we will kinda make up as we go. If the Days are up for it, we will pizza party.

We will make the best of it no matter what that is. It would have to be a real cold day in Hades or severe enough pain I cant dull......to miss this event.
Planning to meet up at the assigned location Thursday morning unless a final decision Wed evening changes things.

Driving down on Sunday will certainly be interesting. Mr. Ian appears intent on saying hello to SC, and then follow a path directly straddling both of our available routes. It'll be a bit of windy rain by then, though. It's got until Sunday morning when we reach about Dayton, OH to make up its mind if we're surfing overhead and taking the Charleston WV/Charlotte route, or coming in from behind on the Lexington/Knoxville route.
