HAHA that is funny that there was a post about it the next day. I would jump on it but my mod money is going towards getting the little pickup into the 12s (including the SCT) and into a few improvements around the house. As far as suggestions, from what I have researched most tunes have more aggressive fuel and ignition timing curves, raise/ eliminated speed limiters, raised shift points and rev limiter however I think it would be safer to leave it at 6500 RPM even though I know that Tom at one point ran his to 7K or 7200. They also usually have firmer shifts. Granted most of the time the performance tunes come at the cost of burning 91 or 93 octane I have also seen some that come with an 89 octane safe tune which is usually personal preference depending on how much of a kick in the pants you want. Dare I also open the can of worms of an E85 tune as well?

FWIW, keep in mind that for pre-'02, shifting is handled by the TCM.

Would definitely like to see a way to get rid of my speed limiter.

So today I had a pretty good conversation with SCT. They are pretty sure they will be able to support vehicles from 1996 to 2004. He said that we should be able to fully manipulate anything we want via a PC program then upload it to the programmer and dump it to the car.
I'm sending him the list of PCM part numbers over the weekend and he said that he will get it all in front of his techs on Monday after they return from the holiday.

It's a starting figure, though double digits will garner more attention from a company than 9 or less.

Like Robert said.... There is no limit or even minimum amount. The more we get to commit, I'm sure the cheaper we could get them for. I just wanted to show SCT that there is a need and a want for a product like theirs.

FYI: I've sent off all the PCM info that was provided over to SCT and now their engineers and techs are working on it.
