rogor2k wrote:You all made me hungry with all your talk about burgers. I looked to see if there was a Fuddruckers anywhere near me, and the answer is a BIG HELL NO!! They're all around me - in Arizona, Utah, and California, but NONE IN NEVADA! What's up with that???  What are we - chopped liver??

They rave about In-n-Out burgers here. I tried them - not bad, but no big deal. I like a nice greasy half-pound Texas style burger, dripping with grease and piled high with cheese, red onions and tomatoes. Hold the lettuce for me and give me extra onion.

Same way with Cracker Barrel - best Chicken and Dumplings on the planet. None of those in Nevada either. Arizona, Utah, Hell yes, but none in Nevada.

I may have to move back east so I can get some decent fast food. Dayum I'm hungry! (thats the Texas pronounciation of "damn.") Two syllables: Da-yum!
Roger,
You and Paulette should come out east to attend the meet.
It would be a damn good time!!

I second that. To have member #1 at the meet would be great.

I third that! We miss you and Paulette!

As for Fudd's, there are two within 6 miles of our house. In Nevada you guys have Wolfgang Pucks, Emeril's, Tao, and all those other fabulously expensive restaurants in the casinos. Maybe you should open a Fudd's franchise - I guarantee lots of folks would enjoy it a lot more than the above mentioned places.

You guys have me thinking, now I'm going to have to go out for dinner at the Fuddruckers near my house.

Tom, you're welcome to come join us. It's only a couple of miles from my house. :P

Yeah, well you'd better swing by here and pick me up too. I want to find out what all hub-bub is about for a burger.

Ahem, back on topic...if the hotel is acceptable to everyone planning to come to Indy this year, I'll go ahead and finalize the hotel and get a signup thread started.

Sounds good to me. It sounds like a fair rate and a place that should accomodate our needs pretty well.

As for a Fuddrucker road trip, after Fudds I'd have to drag you guys off to Dooley's for burgers. A true St Louis original at an old-style pub with amazing burgers that are so good I don't dare eat there more than a couple times a year. http://www.dooleysrestaurant.com/

Oh Man! Nothing would make me happier, but that's an 1800+ mile drive, each way. I just don't travel as well as I used to. 10 years ago it would have been a piece of cake, but some health issues make it problematic for me now.

I know I could fly in, but it's just not the same attending a car club meet without your own car.
