This is just a planning note. The Mayor's Breakfast and Bump Weekend for next year is May 16, 2009. Please begin planning your vacation time now so that when we start final planning in Jan/Feb timeframe you don't get shut out and have to work.

John and I will begin working again at the beginning of 2009 to get this event on line. Save your pennies as the Breakfast is expected to be about $60 a head, unless it goes up next year. That fee includes a super breakfast, a lap on the track, photos with the princesses [if you want] a photo or two of your car on the track, parking at the Pagoda, an event street sign, 1/18 Indy car diecast, special event hat [if you have the guts to wear one], twinkling light pin, and special seating near the pit area. A little pricey, but worth it.

Start your planning now. 8)

Having just joined the club, I will need to really watch the posts on this. Never been to Indy - only Lime Rock here in CT. I hope you experienced folks will post details for us new members on what takes place and on how you all meet up in Indy. We can get a lap on the track ?? Thanks and looking forward to meeting everyone.

Stay tuned. There will be a thread and sign up thread posted once the details are worked out. Past two years we have had a great time thanks to beespecial and BigMike60 setting up the weekends events. Attending the Mayors breakfast includes a paced lap of the track, garage passes, and a day at the track. Definatly worth the drive...

Looks like I will be missing some of the activities on Saturday.
My best friend is getting married on 5/16 in the afternoon. So I will probably miss the Mayor's Breakfast this year (and the lap) But I will be there later on in the day, and Sunday, also on Friday.

We're still planning on coming. My M is dead in the garage. Needs a battery.
