I think I will likely use the Princess Bayshore hotel at 48th Street.
http://www.princessbayside.com/index.php
It is a 1 block walk to the beach. Hotel has WIFI in every room and has two pools.
I can get Thursday/Sunday rooms ranging from $69 to $99 and Friday/Saturday rooms ranging from $99 to $129
There are three levels of rooms. Regular, Efficiency w/kitchenette and Efficiency w/kitchenette and bayview. I believe the Efficiency is $20 above base and the Bayview adds $10 more. Most of the rooms are two queen beds. It is a 100% smoke free hotel.
Ocean City is 153 blocks (9.1 miles) from Inlet to Delaware Line
Roughly 16 blocks is a mile, 8 is a half etc.
Just for reference this is
48 blocks North of the Rt 50 (Southern) Bridge
14 blocks South of the Rt 90 (Northern) Bridge
96 blocks South of the Delaware Line.
57 blocks North of the Inlet entrance
7 blocks North of the Convention Center
1 block South of Seacrets. Simply the BEST niteclub in ANY beach town ANYWHERE. Crawl home available.

20 blocks North of the Salty Dog
http://www.buxyssaltydog.com/
8 blocks South of Macky's
http://www.mackys.com/
12 blocks South of Fager's Island
http://www.fagers.com/restaurant/
17 blocks North of the Jolly Roger
http://www.jollyrogerpark.com/
5 miles to Hooper's Crab House
http://www.hooperscrabhouse.com/index.php
5 miles to Baja Go Karting
http://www.bajaoc.com/
Folks,
This can be an incredibly fun meet but it CAN be expensive.
Budget information. Every piece of this is optional of course but if you chose to do everything here are some rough ideas.
Hotel for 2 nights = $240
Friday Dinner @ Hoopers = $40 (per person)
Registration for the Inlet car show & parade = $50
Go Kart Racing (2 hours) = $36 or $7 per ride
Mini Golf $5 per round
Saturday Dinner TBA = $35-$45
Sitting in a lawn chair with a cooler watching hundreds of Hot Rods cruise up and down the strip Friday and Saturday nights? FREE!!!!
ALL of this is optional and getting a standard room and splitting cost can bring this cost down, but I wanted everyone to get a handle on the cost factors. I do not plan to register my car in the show itself. The only real benefits are that you get to park in the Inlet parking lot AND you get to drive down the boardwalk in the parade.
