Yeah, I'm thinking about it already. I just had to share this bit of news about the schedule for the 2010 race announced just yesterday. They have restructured practice and qualifying yet again. Actually, this is good news for us since it will concentrate qualifying on 1 weekend. That's right, Pole day and Bump day all on the same weekend. And since we typically hold our meet on the second weekend of qualifications, we'll be able to see it all. Hope to see you here in May for Indy Meet 2010!

Sat, May 8 Centennial Era Balloon Festival TBD
Sun, May 9 Centennial Era Balloon Festival (Day 2) TBD
Sat, May 15 Indianapolis 500 Opening Day Ceremonies TBD
Sun, May 16 Practice TBD
Mon, May 17 Practice TBD
Tue, May 18 Practice TBD
Wed, May 19 Practice TBD
Thu, May 20 Practice TBD
Fri, May 21 Fast Friday TBD
Sat, May 22 Pole Day Qualifications TBD
Sun, May 23 Bump Day Qualifications TBD
Wed, May 26 American Family Insurance 500 Festival Community Day TBD
Thu, May 27 Firestone Freedom 100 Practice, Qualifications TBD

The only race I got to see was a 13 lap rainout sometime in the early 60's. The last time I was there was 1966 to see Chuck Rodee crash into the wall during qualifying and die.

After 18 laps the '67 race was postponed til the next day due to rain, but that was the only postponement of the 60's. That race was also AJ Foyt's 3rd Indy win.

If you haven't been back here since the 60's, you're overdue!

Danica Patrick is an agressive and talented driver who is lucky enough to be on a good team with good equipment. A lot of people don't like her because of the publicity she gets and the fact that she stands up to anyone if she feels wronged. Personally, I haven't seen her do anything that any of the male drivers haven't already done.

Sarah Fisher is equally talented but never seems to have a car good enough run with the big dollar teams. She and her husband own the team and she's been struggling for sponsorship. If she ever gets a good car look out. I would love to see her finish in the top 3. She's a class act.

Milka Duno aka milk 'n donuts. What a joke. A third rate driver at best. Will never amount to anything in open-wheel racing. She should park it and leave the racing to people who know how. That said, I'll still give her props for being able to drive 200+ mph and still make the corners.

What was it - a couple of years ago? That was when Danica was hit by someone and she started to march down pit lane to give the bum who hit her an earful (at the least). She was stopped by security. I thought that was a bad move by the track - they should have let her go.

Preliminary plans for me are to leave NJ "noonish" Thursday 5/20 and head west. Remember "All roads lead to Indy" so I'm sure we could meet up along the way.....
