CT / NEW ENGLAND / NY Meet SEP 12, 2010
This is a fix'n, mod'n, eat'n, drink'n, swim'n, chill'n meet open to all 300M, DI and LHF members willing to make the ride to CT.
This meet will be held at my home in Trumbull, CT. We hope to pull from CT, MA, RI, frankly- anywhere in New England, as well as NY and NJ. Trumbull is in Southwest CT w/ easy access from the Merritt (RT-15), I-95, or I-84; I'm only a little over 3 hours from Philadelphia, so all are welcome.
The meet is on, rain or shine and regardless of the number of participants. So no last minute cancellations if you are making plans. There are already some committed mods being preformed to a couple cars in preparation for Ocean City in OCT.
The meet will be held SUNDAY SEPT 12th - all day - from as early as you want to show up until the last folks head out. If weather does not cooperate on SUN, the rain date will be SAT SEPT 11. And if both days are going to be rain, we'll stick w/ Sunday and juggle the cars in and out of the garage; or if we can get a couple canopies, we can cover 4 cars at a time.
I only have limited sets of tools, so plan to bring your tools, parts, etc. for your mods and/or service. I do have a hydraulic jack and second one committed, but we'll need more jack stands. I have 5 GAL buckets for liquid waste disposal after. There is plenty of parking, poolside seating, tables for eating and workspace. You may want to bring folding chairs for hang'n outside of the pool patio area.
The the eat'n, drink'n, swim'n, chill'n area...

The fix'n, mod'n area - 2 bays and plenty of driveway and parking...

The gas grill will be available to run all day / evening. Pool is heated - so it will be open regardless of outside temperature and set to 83*. This is intended to be as much of an inter-club social meet as it may be a fix'n / mod'n meet.
This is a FREE event. I have a ton of hamburgers and hotdogs, condiments, iced tea, lemonade and more from recent parties for the kids and their friends- all to be donated to the greater good (us); plenty of plasticware too. I'd like participants to volunteer to bring sides, chips, deserts or other needed items. If everyone kicks in something, we'll be well fed. I'll have some slabs of ribs come dinner time along with some big tossed salads. This is strictly a BYOB event for 21 and up. I have coolers and will buy ice, but additional coolers/ice would be helpful.

If we do end up w/ any early morning people, breakfast/coffee will be provided.
If this is successful, I would hope this can become an annual event for CT, New England and the surrounding area.
