Updated 6/25!

There's been lots of talk over the years about a club cruise...the wait is over! Check out these details and let me know if you're interested!

7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise (http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruises/7 ... Mode=false) leaving from Fort Lauderdale, FL on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas (http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruises/7 ... Mode=false).

1/24/16 through 1/31/16

Day 1: Depart at 4:30pm from Fort Lauderdale, FL
Day 2: Cruising
Day 3: Labadee, Haiti
Day 4: Falmouth, Jamaica
Day 5: Cruising
Day 6: Cozumel, Mexico
Day 7: Cruising
Day 8: Return to Fort Lauderdale, FL 6:15am

There's a wide range of room types that may be selected that vary in price: $1,954 (inside cabin) to $2,262 (balcony) for double occupancy plus taxes, fees, and port expenses. We are able to put more than 2 in a room if interested and can get a price quote if interested. Current deal offers $75 on board credit per booked cabin (good through the end of June). A $250/person deposit locks in your price with the balance being due 10/31/15. Payments are acceptable.

All travelers would be responsible for the coordination of getting themselves to and from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Please let me know if you are seriously considering taking this vacation. We can look into a group discount which would take booking 8 rooms. Let me know if you have any questions! Once we know who is in we will nail down final details and get booking!

This would be a 40th birthday celebration for me, I hope some of the people that expressed interest in the past can make it happen.

Great!!! Only need 8 rooms to get a discounted rate for the group. Going to find out tonight about other onboard specials a such! Stay tuned! Will likely need to be a quick decision to put a small deposit down. Will also confirm the deposit is fully refundable if you decide not to go.

Wife is up for this so I'll be looking into making it happen. So, you can call us a firm possibility of a definite maybe. hmmm... guess I'll have to finally have to get us passports. I've never been out of the U.S. (I don't count going to the Canadian side of Niagra Falls 'out of the country').

John, Barb, This is beyond a "meet" it is true opportunity to prove that "This Thing of Ours" goes far beyond a gear head car club. Please do seriously consider joining us on this cruise.
There are discounts and "on board credits" that are available thru the end of June if anyone is serious about a deposit ASAP.

Thanks for keeping this current Bob.
YES - Tracy and I are booked!!
What A great opportunity to be with my club family outside of cars. My wife would never come to a car meet - but now she can meet and be with all of my closest friends (though she had the pleasure of meeting many of you at Keith and Lindsay's wedding).

Nick and I are considering it... but we're not sure what the total costs involved are... neither of us have ever been on a cruise. Obviously the travel to FLL and back to DTW are a separate item, as are anything purchased off-ship and I imagine anything purchase in shops on the ship. What I'm not clear on is the per-person cost... it looks like it's $794 + $118 (taxes, port fees) = $922 per person, plus travel to/from FLL? Overall cost is the deciding factor for us.

Cruise Booked :
Bob & Darlene Day
Alan & Tracy Wittstein
John & Barb Benjamin
Mauro & Hermine Imerito (Darlene's parents)

Robert & Nick : Darlene will post notes to answer your questions...
You asked what extra cost there would be? Only extras are whatever alcohol you drink, whatever you do on land, there are only 3 ports and you can control what you spend by what you choose to do there. Tips for waiter, and cabin stewards are automatically charged to your cabin at $12.95 per person per day that would come to $183 total. There is a casino on board so if you like to gamble, again you control that! We're not casino people so we drop nothing there.

Remember every cabin also gets a $75 onboard credit so that would be deducted from whatever has been charged to your cabin.

Really hope you guys will join us! And that some more club members will as well! Guarantee a great time!

Additional discount available. If we book 8 cabins (4 so far) there will be credit for 1 passenger "fare" that we can distribute to the group. This would be $50 to $60 per person ( $100-$120 per cabin)
Darlene is in touch with our cruise regularly to make this happen for all of us.

looks like a ton of fun. It would be nice to attend as I've never been on a cruise before but I will be in Phoenix, AZ that week.

Just a note to those thinking they may attend this unique meet.......posted pricing only good thru mid September. After that subject to change and obviously are not expected to drop.
Good news is you do not have to spend countless hours detailing your car for this meet (but I am working on at least 1 300M on board  )
