Will have some club gear. However, the club jacket will *not* be included.

I'll bring my light Club jacket. It gets chilly at night out on the open sea. :D

you may not need a jacket at night...by that time, you will have plenty of antifreeze in your bodies ;)

Less than 2 weeks til we board Allure of the Seas for a most unusual meet! Will seem a little strange to not have our cars there, but the great friendships and fun will certainly make up for it! Don't forget to do your online check in if you haven't already....it will speed your boarding process! Any last minute questions from the first time cruisers among us?

Will we be eating together in the "fancy eatin' room" and if so, how much do we have to dress up?

Yes we dine all together at 8:30PM. There are 2 formal nights....suit and tie for the guys and cocktail dresses for the ladies. The other nights are casual.....just not jeans. Collared or golf type shirts for the guys and slacks. Robert bringing his tux for formal nights, but definitely not required, a suit is just fine!

they have a formal night so the photographer can take pics of you all dressed up and then sell them to you at the end of the cruise....they have a million and one ways to make money on the cruise...including the casino

In just SIX days we will be onboard the beautiful Allure of the Seas and basking in the sun instead of shoveling snow! Have spoken to the Jarvis" and the Wittstein's and we are all in agreement to wear club shirts to dinner the first night....may as well let everyone know who we are from Day 1!!! Hope Robert, Nick, John and Barb are in agreement?! Just remember guys that it has to be a collared shirt with khakis or dress pants....jeans and SHORTS are not allowed in the dining room. You may certainly change after dinner if you wish. Can't wait to see you all and for the fun to begin! Safe travels to all and see you onboard!

Unfortunately my only club shirts are Carlisle shirts, so my shirt will be generic. Almost there folks...

Many final details being worked out via email. Some of "us" don't often play "dress up" for a meet. Well instead of dressing up our rides it's time to "detail" the troops :D Some may be sweating the weather forecast from their departure point. FWIW Never in the history of the club has a meet been canceled or scrubbed due to weather!! We have had a few "adjustments" but never a miss. Airports deal with weather daily, don't sweat the small stuff. We WILL prevail !!
Funny tough it does not "feel" like a meet (yet) :? :?
No last minute panic cleaning or Mods happening :eek
Guess I'll just wash FIREM so it can sit in the garage nice and clean......

Let's get this party started :thebar

I'm not concerned with the weather so far. There was a brief prediction of 3" of snow coming down around Detroit overnight Saturday, but now the weather prediction is... partly cloudy, 0% precip, 18F overnight. Plane lifts off 7:10am Sunday morning and should have us tossing luggage into the trunk of my fathers car at FLL shortly after 10am for a quick trip to the Ft. Lauderdale shoreline, some lunch, then head to the port to find the ship and then find the cabin to deposit our luggage and change out of our winter attire...
