CEL appeared on my 2002 Special Edition. Checked the codes and only code that existed was p0700. Transmission itself changes gears perfectly and i have no issues with it. Cleared the code, CEL came back after doing ~100 miles of highway driving. Transmission itself has been changed few years back and had 71k miles on it. Im planning to sell my car, but it wont be a good sale to have the CEL on. American car garage i go for repairs and servicing stated that it could be a loose connector/wire.

Anyone has any experience with the same code and symptoms as i do? Anything i should check? Thanks in advance.

You need to take it to an auto parts store and get the codes read.

0700 is a generic transmission code that tells you something is wrong. Code readers will give you more codes and that will help point you to the problem.
