Still waiting to get those tires mounted... UGH!!!! I am contacting a shop close to work and have hopes they can do them. Not a lot of tire shops like to stretch tires here...

If all else fails, I have a buddy that works at Honda that I could probably twist his arm a little with green stuff.....

Look for a mobile shop that will come to you.

They do touchless and I haven’t had one tell me they don’t want to make money. Crazy shops won’t do it.

I will look into it. Shops around here don't want the liability of having something different.
I will look and see if there are any mobile tire guys here.

Keith, there are absolutely zero mobile tire installers here in Fort Wayne.... LOL... I'll get the tires swapped by my guy at Honda. But they won't go on the car till spring as it has started snowing here...

So, my main detail guy was running a killer deal on his services for black friday/cyber monday. If you bought a service, it was 50% off.
I talked with him and he said he could lock me in at a price if I put money down. I put down some cash, we agreed on a paint correction of 1-2 stages if necessary then a 2-year ceramic coating for a stupidly low cost. He told me it's his slowest time of the year, so it is pulling in work that would be otherwise missed. Even at a discount, he is turning a pretty decent profit. I told him I need work done to the fender first, then I would have him work his magic on the car. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

I finally found someone to swap out the two bad tires!!! woohoo!!! I am not in a hurry, but I want to get that done soon. It's good to finally find someone who is not afraid of a little stretching... lol

Update on the car:
I am coming up on 2 years of ownership. It has been awesome driving something new(ish). I have put about 44,000 miles on it now, and I can say that I am as happy driving it today as I was the day I brought it home. This was a big leap for me, but it has more than paid off.

I am getting cabin fever and want to get warm weather here so I can work on the car.
I have a few things that I want to do but need warmer temps! UGH! Why do I live where the air hurts my face?!?!

Cold weather in Indiana? Cute... my work laptop sometimes confuses itself and teleports to my corporate office in rural IL, and fakes me into believe the current temp is 40, and not 14... Indeed, why do we live where the air hurts our faces! Gaters sounds pretty good on days like these.

I know of a place where you'll have a built-in social network, the sun shines 230 days a year, there's no such thing as "winter projects", and no air ever hurts your face!!! Just saying!

So, I took the Accord to the shop today. I needed an oil change. I refuse to mess with it as its 25 bucks and I don't have to spend my time doing the work. Let alone buy good oil and a filter.
I took it to the shop for a much-needed oil change and fuel injection system cleaning.
Plus I purchased 8 quarts of CVT transmission fluid for 16 bucks a quart retail! (ouch!!!) Luckily I still get a nice discount there and got them for just under 11 bucks a quart. (Still a little ouchy, but ok.) and some new Honda rear brake pads.
This car will most likely hit 60k miles within the next week. Still original brake pads. The rears are getting low, but not close to metal yet.
So, I will be doing a couple of transmission services, 2 drain and fills, driving it around the block in between drain and fills to clean it out well.
I really want to paint the brake calipers when I replace the brakes.

Which color do you all recommend on my SNP Accord for caliper color?

I’d match the blue if possible.

Or go yellow

Well, I generally like to pick an accent color and stick with it, or use something neutral. For my last Special I had chosen Mopar blue as my accept color and painted the calipers and valve covers that color. For my current Special I have chosen a medium grey, I believe something "Ford Engine Block Grey" that I like. It makes them look finished and glossy, but won't clash with any other color.

If you don't have an accent color in mind you can try something like that.

I want contrast. I have been adding red as an accent color, I don't really want to paint them red... It would work, but I just don't know.
I'm not sure about yellow, but it does intrigue me too... I just don't really want too many colors...

Thoughts? would yellow be too much?

I think yellow would be a good pop of color.

Yellow would certainly be a pop of color, and seems to be a growing alternative to red for factory setups, so it would be more noticeable in a sea of red calipers.

It's not my taste personally, but "my taste" and subtlety and hence I went with silver on the M. If we keep the Durango and buy a truck separately, I may do the Durango's calipers in Mopar Blue to go with with the dual stripes and the blue hashmarks on the center caps that the dealer had done.

Finally got the two tires mounted and balanced on the 20's. BUT, I've realized I need centric hub rings to feel confident in running the wheels. I will measure the bore of the wheels at work tomorrow and order the rings tomorrow night. Hope to have them on by the weekend!!!!

anyways, here is a well overdue teaser pic....

Not sure about the wheel poke, but I think they look good.
