Mikey did some digging and the truck is currently in Conway, PA.

It needs to go to the holding yard in Jessup, MD and then it will make it's way to the dealer.

Currently delivery date is March 6th but could be closer to the end of this month as well. Apparently there are two dates in the system.

I am excited to get it, we could certainly use it with all the house projects and moving.

It appears that the anticipation and wait is killing you! I never quite figured out why it takes so long from manufacture date to delivery, but it probably has to do with carrier availability. Waiting to see the pictures!

Pretty much, there is a big dance involved to keep shipping costs down when shipping many thousands of vehicles every year. Keith's truck will wind up first sitting in the assembly plants shipping yard for a couple of days before getting loaded onto a train bound for whatever the railways drop point is for his truck (stopping at many along the way), and hundreds of others going to the same region. Then it either gets on another train bound for the staging yard in MD or on a truck, just quickly getting it from the railyard to the staging yard.

Then the trucks (along with all manner of cars from other automakers using that port of entry) get loaded onto trucks bound for another regional center if needed, before getting loaded on yet more trucks for local dealer delivery.

All those rail miles... hope Keith has a good iron decon ready to go!

The assembly itself is only a day or two, but that average 2 month wait involves getting into the queue for assembly (whatever system the automaker uses, some build by dealer order sequence, some build by model, some build by color, all of that determines the sorting and how the components get ordered from suppliers and get sequenced), then a day or two to build, another day for quality checks and any needed repairs if the wrong parts were assembled, then queueing for shipping and actual shipping.

Typical is 2 months for vehicles built in Canada and Mexico. 3 months from Europe. 1-2 months from the US. My Jeep, built 90 minutes from my house, was exactly 4 weeks from my salesman getting my go-ahead on the build, to me twisting the key in the ignition and transferring the plate from my Journey. The first few weeks was simply getting into the assembly queue. I had Derek, an old club member in Rhode Island now working at a dealer, checking in on my VIN and sending me updates when the status changed.

Been a bit since I updated this thread!

Mikey is the man. Truck came in at the beginning of the month but there is a heater grid relay recall that has put a stop sale on the trucks.

The fix came out two days ago, Mikey got the part ordered that day and installed it yesterday.

Completed all the paperwork today and the truck is mine! Looking like we will go up there around the 14th to get it. So excited to get it home.

Going to add PPF to the entire nose when we get back and have it ceramic coated after.
Window tint all around and a tonneau cover.

I was wondering where this was at... doesn't take much time to get to the dealer if it was in PA in Feb. Congrats!

I need a new truck but even used prices are hard for me to swallow right now.

The one you built is like a dream model. Can't wait to see a pic or two. I can just imagine how big your smile is going to be on the ride home.

Awesome! Good luck, I am sure you are excited! I'll be roadtripping from IL back to MA with baby stuff a couple of weeks after that with Scott.
Too bad it is a little too far out of the way to swing down to SC.

What a day! I can’t accurately explain how wonderful it was!!

Easily arrived at the dealership. Met very nice people. Got to go into the work bays with Mikey to see behind the scenes. And drove away with a beautiful truck!!

It was so easy and such a great experience! Especially nice to have a friend there with us to share it with and gosh he took amazing care of it while it was at the dealer. Had a nice lunch and hung at his house for a bit before starting to head south.

The truck is great! It rides amazingly and has such attention to detail inside and out. We’ve got a lot to learn about all the bells and whistles but have an inside resource for help!

All in all an amazing adventure that we’re thankful for!! Now to finish up its first road trip home to the pup!

Can’t thank you enough Mikey!!!!
