Hey everyone! Its a huge honor to be in this month's Ride of the Month Contest!
I got this car from my father in law's girlfriend. I was originally just going to drive it and not worry about it much. Then things changed. Anyways, when i got the car, it had suffered a timing belt tensioner pulley failure and jumped time. This caused 6 valves to get bent. I tore down the motor, replaced 4 valves (2 i had missed) and all the gaskets. I replaced the timing belt, water pump, and all the fixins. I got it running but it still wasn't right. Now, it was crunch time to get it running correctly. I wanted to drive it to Carlisle. So, I pulled the driver side head again and found 2 valves I missed the first time. Got them replaced and she was running great. Now, this was the Tuesday before Carlisle (2018). I drove it to work and back for 2 days before taking the biggest leap of faith. I drove it 500 miles to Carlisle. The car drove great. I still call it an oddball. Here are the specs:

2004 Dodge Intrepid SE
Bright Silver Metallic (PS2)
factory sunroof
111, 218 miles

The car is loaded with a bunch of goodies. Here is a list of mods:

De-badged trunk
Tinted tail lights
center section of trunk lid below the tail lights is plasti-dip'd black

Hello everyone,

Thanks again for nominating my car for ride of the month once again, it is an honor! For those that dont know, this car has been a part of my life since it was brand new. To this day I remember riding in it the first time when I was 11 years old. Over its life its stated pretty much stock, I'm one of the few people who MIGHT be able to claim they've never been bitten by the mod bug. I simply have always loved the car the way it is today. From a MTV less intake plenum to the taupe cloth seats. The charger rt wheels are obviously it's most notable modification. Its won multiple Carlisle awards, multiple ride of the month contests on di.net (I think 3), and even a 300m club award. But the 2 things I'm most grateful for by far is just having the car and the awesome people I've met because of it.

Thank you so much for nominating Phantom for October's ROM Contest! I'm always so honored to be a part of this competition. Phantom is my 2004 Dodge Intrepid Police Package. He currently has 100,800 miles. He hit his 100k milestone back in August. I became Phantom's owner back in May of 2017. My boyfriend Robert and our friend Henry drove him across the country to me. They started in New York and came out to Utah. Phantom has changed so much over these past few years. He originally had the Police Package steelies, which we swapped out with a set of 300M Special Wheels (thanks Emmie!). After that, the mod bug hit and as many enthusiasts know, modifying him became a passion. Thank you so much again for nominating Phantom!

Performance Mods:
K&N Cold Air Intake
Custom Exhaust System, Y-Pipe into Magnaflow Muffler out to Dual Magnaflow Tips
Hawk Performance Brake Pads
BF Goodrich Sport Comp II Performance Tires
Police Package Brake Cooling Ducts

Yellow Tinted Fog Lamp Lenses
Black Front Grille
OEM Rear Spoiler
Mopar Windshield Banner
Mopar License Plate Frame
"Mopar Ladies" Car Club Rear Window Decal

Interior Mods:

Hello, as always, thank you for the nomination for Ride of the Month. My car is a 2001 Dodge Intrepid R/T Motorsports Edition. I bought it back in February 2015, from a gentleman who took as good of care of it as any person would who dailies these cars. I brought it home limping it due to warped rotors, and overall just a bit of a mess as it had sat for a little while. Ever since then, it's slowly transformed into the car I've always wanted, and although its been giving me trouble lately, it is still my favorite car that i've ever owned. Future mods to the car is to finish the "decontenting" of the car, and adding a few extra things, such as heated seats, and maybe even the intake spacer that i've had for almost 3 years...:P

Basic Info
2001 Dodge Intrepid R/T Motorsports Edition
Ordered April 12, 2001
141 of 1209 Motorsports
66 of 383 RT Trim
7 of 238 Flame Red R/T's.

Exterior
Black Diamond Headlights
Custom Painted Taillights with R/T logo cut into lights
Magnaflow 3" Exhaust Tips
Blacked Out Fog light housing
Konig Unknown 17" Wheels/Steelies for winter.

300m Special Turn Signal Mirrors

Interior
Sun Sensor (Was not added in my car)
Early Year Black A-Pillar/Overhead Console
EVIC - No Tire Pressure, But Instant MPG
Early LH Model Pocketed Dash Bezel
Door Lights
Intrepid Motorsports Floormats
Police Intrepid Cluster with EL Faze Morpher
Red Mock Carbon Fiber Shift knob overlay covering original chrome.
Red LEDs installed under PRND shift overlay.
300m Pro Am Seats (Heated, but not wired...gotta get the nerve to do it one day)
1st Gen Speaker covers painted with Dodge Logo
Most bulbs replaced with LEDs
Double Din Atoto A6 Stereo(along with the double din bezel to fit the radio)
Alpine Type S 4 ohm 12" Subwoofers
