What a bummer...Thanks for the offer anyhow, hopefully another club member has one or a good lead for me to follow.

Specials arrived I believe after the full running change to non-EGR, so anything with a silver Special plenum badge will be NG. 99-early 02 (up to fall 2001 build) will have the EGR ports open while later 02-04 will have them sealed (inserts that formed the holes were removed from the plenum tooling). Typically they'll have a vacuum tube going around the edge of the plenum, indicating compatibility with the EGR system.

Bob, thanks for the offer but let me take a rain check for now. I've got some feelers out elsewhere and hopefully one will pan out. I'll get back to you if they don't.

There are several base M's in the yard where I live. What exactly do you need?

I need a plenum in good condition (no cracks/repairs) with the EGR ports open. As Lunatic mentioned in his post a 99-early 02 (up to fall 2001 build) will have the EGR ports open and is exactly what I need.

The first pic in Patrick’s post, bottom view, left side 2 stubs molded closed are the EGR ports.

These are not hard to come by in the yards. How much do you want to pay? I'm sure that I can find one when at the yard this week if the weather is nice. Shipping may be a bit expensive as it isn't too heavy, just a bit oversized.

Ed, I thought I had found you just what you needed on Saturday and even removed it, but the plenum had been cracked.

I haven't been to all of the yards around me to look, but unfortunately LHs are getting more rare in the yards around me, so I haven't found what you need yet.

Hey Ed going to try and hit the yard tomorrow. If my mind serves me right I think their might be a couple left. I grabbed one in the fall for StealthM. Pre 2002 with the EGR ports. Will let you know. I think he only charged me 25 bucks.

I was at the yard yesterday and found a couple of 3.2L plenums that would work. I wasn't sure if the 3.2 plenum is 100% compatible, even though I think it is, so I thought that I'd ask here first. It has the tuning valve and EGR ports, just a 3.2 badge. Otherwise, both appeared to be in excellent shape.

Yes, the 3.2 plenum is exactly the same as the 3.5HO plenum for 1998-2001.

Ed are you still looking for a plenum? Was at my yard today and they have a few of them.
