Our cars are getting older & older, but many of you, like myself continue to modify our cars with oem & aftermarket parts. If at all possible I try to use oem parts most of the time, but its getting harder and harder to come by some of these items.I used to think the chrome shifter was the toughest item, but I've been fortunate enough to purchase items I now consider much more harder to come by than the chrome shifter..(1)18" chrome 15 spoke rims
(2) oem bra with emblem (3) sight shield and (4) turn signal mirrors (in good condition).I know some of you might know of some harder to come by parts but these are mine

The wheels aren't that rare. Finding them in a yard is hard, but you can get them from many wheel repair places. The place I had one of my SRTDs refinished at had sets of Special 18s and 20x8 SRTDs available for sale (used, reconditioned, but same price as the dealer, yikes).

Sight shield is a hard yard item to find whole and undamaged. Mine was bought unused from a dealer warehouse three years ago as part of the wreck repair. Same dealer had a bunch of Special nose items as well but I scoured the internet to find those cheaper.

I'd say good condition Pro-Am seats are tough to find. Certain level EVICs (I think AG is the desirable one? Mine came with it), RB1s are rare in yards, etc.

It's tough to find these parts in yards... I got excited over finding a TPMS magnet and three deep slate wood wheels in a local last Friday, but it's not terribly difficult to find someone who has those parts for sale... for a price.

That's just a few of the rare parts I have in my car. :)

I'd say drivers side Special headlights are a rare find these days. I wouldn't really call black pillars and OTIS covers rare since pretty much all 98's had them. The winged clock bezel is rarer IMO.

Probably *the* rarest factory part is Gorm's black clock: http://300mclub.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=30335

MoFo refuses to say where he got it!

And some say the black clock is not a real part since it wasn't installed in any consumer cars... ;)

Chrysler part number = official Chrysler part.

The butthurt some people have over me having one is amazing though...they seem to forget...I'm not the only member who has one.

Here is a video of another members black clock in 2003: (Around 1 minute mark)

I know the member, they found it using the part number in the parts system. I have since tried, there are no more black clocks sitting out in a warehouse. :(

Rare parts list:

1999 LHS "Winged" clock bezel - Found in 1999 LHS build models 04-98 through 07-98.
Black A Pillars & OTIS cover - Found in 1999 LHS and 300m build models 04-98 through 12-98.
300m & Concorde Limited Pro-AM seats. The Concorde version is slightly rarer due to production numbers. They are not as hard to get as they used to be. The only real reason they are rare is because they did the sets for only one year model run.
300m Pro-Am Floor Mats - Same reason the seats are rare.
Intrepid Motorsport Floormats - Done for only one model run.
Intrepid Motorsports Rims - Only one model year run only.
Intrepid, LHS, & 300m back panel without Child hook anchors. - Only available in 1999.
2002 Special PCM - Only done in 1 model year.
Chrome Window Switches - Only done in 1 model year. Can be found in 2000 300m & LHS.
Chrome Shifter knob - Only done in 04-00 through 12-00 build 2001 300ms.
1999 Concorde Cluster - Only second gen LH cluster to not use round cluster gauges.

Not rare parts:

Chrome 18"rims - These were chromed by the dealer by an aftermarket company. OEM chrome 18" rims do not exist. If you don't believe me, I'll accept I'm wrong if you get me a part number I can verify.

300m Special Headlights - Lots of them out there, however finding a set in good condition may be tricky.

Wood Wheels - Lots of them out there.

300m Pro-Am Golf club holder - While they did come with the 300m Pro-AM editions. Beginning in 2002 they were an official Chrysler accessory for nearly every car offered. They ended it in 2006. There are many of them out there.

Intrepid motorspots pack -While rare to the model, nearly every Dodge car in 2001 offered a motorspots package and the same pack.

You may or may not have meant to include me in that group, but for the record, I have no issue over it whatsoever - I should have put a smiley after my previous post. Not putting that was my attempt at straight-faced humor. I didn't realize that apparently some people actually have a problem with your having the clock.

Rare, but would you agree of no value or interest? IOM, they are the worst looking gages - like the most boring, me-too Buick gage you could ever imagine. I have two on my shelf from my two Concordes - one of which now has the 300M cluster, the other the later Concorde chrome-ring black gages.

HAH! That's exactly what I thought when I had my green '99. "Well look at this nice 'Buick' instrument cluster" LOL!

Yeah - I had the same reaction to seeing it listed as a "rare" part as when I first read that Time Magazine had once declared Hitler the Man of the Year (yes - that really happened). Both instances forever changed my concept of the titles being ones of honor. :)

Nope Bill, you are not one of the people I was referring too. :)

The Facebook post on the subject pretty much sums up who they are though. If someone mentions black clock and I comment in it, people seem to go nuts. I'm surprised they are not here yet.

As for the rareness of the Concorde Cluster. You guys are right, it is butt-ugly. I'm sure it was a cost cutting move, as I'll bet the tooling was different for that cluster compared to the ring style gauges. They probably already had the tooling work done on the 300m black cluster, so they gave it the 300m chrome wings and put it in production. Too bad the Concorde didn't have a place for the clock, or we would have likely seen a whole bunch of black clocks.
