I moved your post to the proper Topic "Spark Plug Changing"

In this Topic you will find many discussions about what plugs to use. The Factory used both Champion Platinums and the NGKs as OEM plugs. IIRC the NGKs were chosen for cars with VIN K.

You can't go wrong with either IMO

I would agree. Though I probably wouldn't have purchased them through the dealer. How much did they soak you for them?

A cheaper alternative would be the Bosch Platinum +4s or +2s. Been running the +2s for over a year now in my Special while running the +4s for a few years before that with my 2000.

Thanks for redirecting me to the right place I still kinda new to this forum I reason I asked is because to many of my friends got me confused tellin me that ngk is for Japanese cars don't use nothin but the campions and that the bosh won't do good on the 300 cause it's for German cars then the guy at the dealer told me that ngk was factory for the 03 models of the 300 3.5 high output engines which I was ok I guess so they charged me around $85.00 then the mechanic at the same dealer told me I don't recomend that u use ngk return them and get the champions so I'm just going crazy now that's why I thought I will just ask the 300 riders and see what u guys use in ur engines

My 04 Non-Special came with the NGK platinums from the factory. Replaced them at 50k even though they looked fine. Bought them at Advance Auto Parts. At 96k now, no issues. I just don't like to let them go 100k due to the possibility of seizing. The NGK's from Advance are the same PN as the OEM NGK's and much cheaper than the dealer. I would be interested in why the dealership tech was down on the NGK's. I haven't heard of anyone on the forum having issues with them.

That's CDN dealer prices for you. I was able to get my set from CarQuest with a shop discount, cost me 65$. Through RockAuto, they are less than 6$ each, after shipping to Canada you're looking at a bit less than 60$ for a set.

Lets face it, OEM ones were:
CHAMPION 7034 {#RC12PEPB5} Double Platinum
NGK 7781 {#ZFR5LP13G} Laser Platinum
There. Buy either of them, and you're golden.
