Hi there, my name is Ken and this is my 2001 Intrepid Motorsports Edition.

I bought it in 2015 from a guy about a hour from me on Craigslist. As it turned out, he was a Mopar enthusiast at heart, with a big heart for the car. From the moment of owning it, it's been a love (mostly love) hate relationship. Throughout the years it's been the car I've learned a lot of things on, from brake lines, to a transmission swap as of recent. In 2019, I struck a deer with it and had I not negotiated a bit, that would be the end of this tale. However..I got them to not total the vehicle, and began to piece it back together. It was a lot of sweat, no blood, and a good bit of tears, but after two and a half years, the car has matching color body panels. After almost 7 years, 50k miles, and a transmission, it's easily my favorite car to drive.

Over the years, I started out modifying whatever I could. It went from cloth seats, to Leather Pro Am seats, from adding cold air intakes, to the 1st gen LHS rear speaker grilles. It has slowed down considerably over the years, as I just enjoy driving it nowadays, but in the future, I do hope to add the intake spacer I've had for a while, as well as potentially hooking up the heated seats.

I've learned a lot from this group, and being here I've come to have grown as a person as well. This place is a gift, having this extended family to lean on, to count on, no matter what goes on in the world. I appreciate all who have read this, as well as those who haven't, and happy voting to everyone.

I am honored to participate in the Ride of the Year contest among a group of beautiful cars!
It was an honor to win Ride of the Month in November and to have the opportunity to have my car in this contest!

Image

I purchased my 2002 Dodge Intrepid ES in May of 2005 with 35k miles on her from a local Dodge dealership.
She is my first car, purchased at the age of 16.

The car has been through a lot with me. My wife and I dated in it in high school. Then it was in our wedding in 2017.
Going on 17 years after I bought it (now more than half my life!), I am still dreaming up mods and changes for it.

2002 Dodge Intrepid ES
Current mileage ~75,000.

Stock Options
3.5L Non-HO V6
Alloy Wheels
PS2 Bright Silver Metallic/Dark Slate
Side Airbags
Cloth Interior with Power Driver's Seat
Manual Temperature Control
Tape Player/120W "Midline" Amplifier

Here she is bone stock shortly after I purchased her:
Image

My Intrepid ES was a low-optioned car, and unlike an M or an LHS, I had to add Automatic Climate Control, Leather, Autostick, the 360W Amp and wiring, and convert the 3.5 to a 3.5HO.
But it has been a labor of love with the help of good friends from this Club!

Throughout the years I have modified the car with the assistance of many people from this Club, including, in no particular order and certainly leaving some out: my wife Ashley, Keith, Lindsey, Scott, Bobby, Jimmy, Derek, and Steve.
I have a lot of people to thank for their help along the way, including everyone who has made Carlisle such a treat to attend!

Best of luck to everyone in this year's contest, it is an honor to be a part of it!

It is always an honor to participate in the contest and this month I get to feature Midnight M.

You are looking at my Black 2002 Chrysler 300M Special with the light taupe/dark slate interior. I purchased it in the spring of 2015 from another member on the forum so it could become my daily driver. It was transported to me by two other members and delivered at my wedding in May. I was looking for a car that I could enjoy and drive daily while my other M became a full time show car.

The car currently sits at about 219,000 miles. It has had a few repairs that were needed, but they all do at this point.

I had made a promise to myself that I would not mod it and just drive it. That promise was quickly broken and I started to change the look of it with some smaller modifications.

Exterior-
20” Chrysler 300 Varvatos Edition Wheels
Wicked Wine Plasti-Dipped Lower Cladding

My 2004 300M was not my first experience with the LH Platform, As a teenager my parents had a White 1994 Chrysler New Yorker with a blue cloth interior. My parents replaced that with a 1998 Candy Apple Red Dodge Intrepid ES and when it was time to get my first car it was a 1999 Cinnamon Glaze Dodge Intrepid ES. The 1999 Intrepid was what got me addicted to the mod bug, but it was only around for about a year before I got rear ended and the car was totaled. I was addicted to the LH at this point and replaced it with a 1999 Deep Slate 300M. I drove that car through college and when I got my first job I replaced it with a 2004 Chrysler 300M with 10,500 on the odometer. It has been with me through the last 140,000 miles and countless modifications.

Howdy peoples!

I've got myself a 2000 Chrysler 300M with a 3.5L V6, finished in Inferno Red Pearl.
The car currently has 161,xxx (ish) miles on it.

I picked the car up in June of 2020, as the second owner, with only 146,000 miles on it! The car was very well maintained by the previous owner, replacing the timing components before selling and even a new radiator a few years prior! The only issue with the car was that the 5 disc changer wasn't working. Since owning I have only had to do oil changes, struts, and now a developing exhaust leak (thank you road salt lol), with it being my daily I'm trying everything in my power to keep it safe and reliable for as long as I can.

Since purchasing the car, I have done some things to it, for looks and more practicality.

Exterior Mods:
- 300M Special Projector Headlights
- New Style "Jeweled" Tailights w/ Brake Light Mod
- SyneticUSA LED 3157 Bulbs All Around, from dt-autotech on eBay
- Custom LED 3rd Brake Light (purchased from In-trepid)
- 300M Special Turn Signal Mirrors, refinished in Chrysler PX8
- 30% Tint All Around (excluding windshield)

Soon I plan on purchasing a set of 18x7.5 2015-2019 Chrysler 300C wheels, while also installing rear lowering springs to give the car a "level" look.

Interior Mods:
- '01-'04 300M "Real Wood" Grain Steering Wheel
- New Style "Winged" Dash Clock w/ White LED
- Lighted Key Ring from 1st Gen Intrepid
- Sylvania LED Map Light, Dome Lights, and Courtesy Lights
- 300M Special 150mph Speedometer
- RB1 Nav Radio w/ Sirius Satellite and 6 disc CD/DVD Changer
- Hyundai Azera Amp w/ Kicker 10" SVC Sub
- Upgraded Alpine S-Series 6.5" and 6x9 woofers
- Added 12v Plug in Back of the Center Console

I haven't done much of anything "performance" oriented, other than adding a 300M Special Dual Exhaust and some preventative maintenance.

I hope to have this car for many more years to come, with the help of this group. I am also hoping to have the car finished to my liking sometime this coming spring. Currently, I am looking at getting some rust repair done on my lower driver's door and the "lip" of my hood, followed up with some PDR work, and a nice paint correction and ceramic coat to top it off.

Thank you all for the nomination and may 2022 bring you many blessings!

also, hopefully i can meet some of you at carlisle this year!

Thank you for the ROM nomination. Every car that enters the ROM is a winner. It is members like us that keep these cars in the terrific condition that they are in. I admire the work and effort put into maintaining a 20 year old vechile. The LH platform ages so gracefully that most people can't believe these vehicles are 20 years old.
My uncle bought my M brand new in 2002. He buys every 5 years as he is now in his 80's and doesn't drive a vehicle that's not under warranty. He also buys a new mini van at the same time. Until I bought the car from him the car was stored in his garage every winter as he winters in Florida and takes his mini van. So I bought the car in 2007 with just under 30,000 miles on it. Since I bought it the car has only seen about 2000 miles total of winter driving as I mostly drive my pick up truck during winter. Since I'm a retired senior ( I hate being called that but it is what it is) :eek I only put about 4000 miles on it per year.
My car has every available Canadian option including full size spare on a twin 6 rim, luxury group, performance handling package, cold weather group (block heater and battery warmer) and full EVIC overhead display.

2002 Chrysler 300M
Paint is Almond Pearl Metallic Clearcoat
Current mileage is 147,000 kilos or just under 90,000 miles
I have done a few mods to the car making it a little more personal to me.
Windows tinted 25%
Chrysler 300S HID headlights
LED third brake light
Fumoto oil drain valve
Custom bent all stainless steel exhaust system
Custom embroidered 300M front floor mats
688AC amp and Infinity mesh front sail speakers
Lighted key ring
Sight Shield
I have 2 complete sets of wheels and tires. Winter set is General Altimax Artic on factory aluminum twin sixes. Summer set are a set of Michelin's on factory chrome twin sixes. All have TPMS sensors.
I'm proud to say that the car has previously won ROM a few years ago and also placed second in the John Benjamin virtual car show last year.
Once a year usually late spring the car gets a full detail using a Porter Cable buffer and several coats of paint sealer.
Pictures are from last summer as we currently have over a foot of snow and the car is safely tucked away in the garage on a battery tender.

Hey everyone my name is Moe and this is my 2000 Dark Garnet Red 300m me and my husband bought from club member Mike Stepp in January of 2021 for $1200. She is immaculate and very well taken care of and I couldn’t ask for anything more.

So far she had the 300m Special rear bumper rims and exhaust so my husband and my wonderful kids decided to continue working on the car to make her into a Special and that was fulfilled in May 2021. She looks so good and I look forward to many memories with the car and club members alike in the years to come
