Speed Limit Removal

Been reading a bunch of threads on here about removing the speed limiter on these cars. The most common answer is to get a Special or PHP PCM, but is there any other option? I’ve got a ‘00 M and it tops at like 110 “km/h” or so and I would like a bit more out of it, mainly because I know it has it in it lol

If you can find a Intrepid 00 R/T, they also have the limiter removed, but you'll lose a bit of "oomf" so to speak, as the 00 Intrepid was rated at....243? I think? I don't think theres another option

Sorry but if "we" haven't figured it out in 20 years it isn't going to happen.
For a 2000 the only option is the Intrepid R/T PCM as the 02 Special will NOT work in a 2000

You're saying 110 Km/h. That's metric and translates to just under 70 mph. I take it you mean 110 mph? If you really mean 110 km/h then something's wrong with your car.

I took it as a joke, since 110 MPH isn't a legal speed anywhere and Sidney lives in the US. 108 MPH I believe is the limit for some models? Don't quote me on that, my Special is "unlimited" so I haven't paid attention to the software governor stats on LHs.

Don't know if there is any difference but on the last trip (this past week) i hit 120.....which means real 114.... (Checked also by speed app). I do have the 2.7 flywheel with an Intrepid transmission ... So now the Odo always shows 6 miles over..... I didn't push it all the way down though.... Stopped when I saw 120 after quickly looking at my Google gps speed map and noticing the 114. Also the TCM is not OEM...and can't remember of what car it was.

That's in the 01 LHS....haven't pushed the base faster then 105 maybe . Special can't remember.

Yeah I was hoping there was some new found way to remove it, after reading forum posts from years ago
