2022 John Benjamin Memorial Virtual Car Show - Spirit of the Club Winner!

We are thrilled to share that this year's John Benjamin Memorial Virtual Car Show 'Spirit of the Club' award has been presented to John Smith (In-trepid) for his dedication in helping members with repairs and sending parts to members around the world! John has helped so many members keep their cars on the road with his knowledge and sharing of parts.

Keith Jarvis, the 2021 winner, presented John with the award during the Carlisle meet.

When we speak of dedication, involvement, support, passion, and longevity, John represents all of these for the club.

In so many ways, John truly does represent the spirit of the club!! We're pleased to be able to honor him in this way.

Deserved, indeed! John is one of a few I've enjoyed texting back and forth from time to time, discussing issues and LH designs and design changes from year to year, sharing our collective findings.

Congratulations, John! I cannot think of someone who deserved it more than you - it seems you have dedicated your retirement to helping others keep their LH cars going and that is a very honorable pursuit!

I am very humbled in receiving this award. I think back to my first Carlisle when pulling into the hotel I was greeted by John Benjamin. He was the true ambassador and spirit of the club and became a true friend, even though the friendship was cut short. I am thrilled to receive the award that he inspired and above all, know that I helped many others achieve their goals with my advice or searching out parts that they need to keep their vehicles running and looking good. There are many well deserving club members that go above and beyond whenever called upon. That is the spirit of the club. I will continue to be the best club member that I can be.
