Do we need to change that Long Life Coolant anyway?

I have noticed all summer that when my 300 ('04 Special) is completely cold, the coolant level in the reservoir is about an inch below the minimum mark. So, I would like to top it off. However, I am unable to remove the radiator cap on the top of the coolant reservoir. It appears that the sides of the cap have curved ends that hold it captive to the filler neck on the reservoir. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for the help.

Turn CCW until it hits those stops, then press down against spring pressure and continue turning to clear the stops, then lift it off.

Thanks Bill! That did the trick, obviously I was not pushing down hard enough.
