I have a problem with my transmission.

When i start from "0" and just run faster the transmission is working fine. Just shifting to next gear.
But when they need shift down from 3 to 2 and next 2 to 3, that second shift is very hard.
I try do Quicklearn but still they hard shift.
I replaced valve body and solenoid pack (both used, not new) but still i have the same problem.
I don't have any DTC codes. Just hard shifting from 2 to 3 after downshift.

how long has it been since you serviced the transmission? Fluid flush and filter replace? How many miles on the transmission?

Here's a manual for the trans. ... manual.pdf

It should have all you need to do pressure tests and have the diagnostic subroutines. I don't think at this point there is any other way to diagnose the issue.

The 42LE has a pretty simple clutch application chart,
Reverse is Rev and Low/Reverse (L/R)
1st is UnderDrive (UD) and L/R
2nd is UD and 2/4
3rd is UD and OverDrive (OD)
4th is OD and 2/4

Using this information a hard shift from 2 into 3 could be the 2/4 clutch not releasing quickly enough causing the transmission to bind up resulting in the hard shift.
